An Invitation to School Groups, Grades 4 – 12. The Music Celebration Youth Concert presents most of the School of Music's performing ensembles in a fast-paced journey through a spectrum of sounds, moods, and styles. Our non-stop collage style concert includes jazz, orchestral, choral, chamber, wind band, solo, percussion and keyboard offerings via the remarkable artistry of our student ensembles, led by renowned conductors and teachers. Two hundred fifty (250) outstanding musicians, selected from director nominations, will be placed by on-campus audition into one of three bands: Honors Wind Symphony, Scarlet Symphonic Band, and Gray Symphonic Band. All bands will perform on Sunday afternoon in Weigel Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
Band directors may nominate up to 15 outstanding student musicians in grades 9 – 12 for consideration.Find out more »
