The Special Needs Activity Camp for Kids joins the Barrington Summer Day Camp Program for activities, field trips and lunch times for an inclusive setting, plus other activities to accommodate campers’ needs. Campers enjoy swimming, outdoor recreation, sports, games, arts and crafts, quiet recreation, movies and field trips. Campers must possess independence in personal care of toileting, dressing, and eating, or be accompanied by their own aide at the family expense. Campers should follow direction and rules with minimal prompting. A sack lunch and snack must be packed daily. Registration is on a first-come, first served basis. We recommend each participant fill out a Recreation Program Modifications Form. This form will be emailed to you upon registration. Staff members are teachers or students in special or adapted physical education, or sport/leisure study, at a ratio of 1:3. This program is possible through a generous donation from Northwest Kiwanis. SNACK Camp programs offer an unprecedented “pay as you use” fee structure. Fees do not include field trip costs, parents are responsible if the child attends those dates.
NEW: This year the registration fee includes your first ten days of camp.
All fees associated with registration (including the first ten mandatory days) are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be credited to your household account. There is a mandatory initial ten visit minimum purchase per child enrolled and that is reflected in the registration fee. You will receive a receipt confirmation of your registration within 24 hours. Please check your spam folder if not received. If you do not receive this receipt please call us at 614-583-5300.
